Ultrahuman Ring Pro, the third-generation smart ring from Bengaluru-based health-tech innovator Ultrahuman, has been launched globally as the company intensifies its strategic push into the crucial U.S. market. This significant development comes as the U.S. accounts for a staggering 60% of the global smart ring demand, making it an indispensable battleground for companies vying with the entrenched market leader, Oura.

The smart ring sector is experiencing explosive growth, with sales projected to hit 1.7 million units in 2024 and market value expected to surpass $2 billion by the early 2030s. Oura has historically dominated this landscape, capturing an estimated 80% of the global market share last year and 74% in the first half of 2025. With over 5.5 million smart rings sold since 2015—more than half of which occurred post-June 2024—Oura’s revenue doubled to $500 million in 2024, with a projected leap to $1 billion in 2025. This formidable presence underscores the competitive challenge Ultrahuman faces.

Navigating U.S. Market Challenges

Ultrahuman’s U.S. ambitions hit a snag in October 2025 following a U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) ruling in favor of Oura in a patent dispute. This led to import restrictions on Ultrahuman’s Ring Air, necessitating a comprehensive product redesign and a re-evaluation of its U.S. market strategy. Despite this setback, American users represent approximately 45% of Ultrahuman’s 700,000 daily active users, clearly demonstrating the paramount importance of the U.S. consumer base to the company’s global footprint.

To circumvent import restrictions and bolster its U.S. presence, Ultrahuman has strategically expanded its “UltraFactory” in Plano, Texas. This facility, a partnership with U.S.-based SVtronics, has been operational since November 2024 and is designed to fulfill 100% of U.S. demand for the Ring Air. Plans are underway to scale production to over 500,000 units annually. This domestic manufacturing initiative promises faster shipping, enhanced customer service, and greater reliability for U.S. consumers, while also providing a hedge against potential tariffs on imported electronics. This localized production strategy is a critical component of Ultrahuman’s long-term U.S. growth.

Introducing the Ultrahuman Ring Pro

The newly launched Ultrahuman Ring Pro, priced at $479, introduces a suite of advanced features designed to differentiate it in a crowded market. A standout is its impressive battery life, offering up to 15 days on a single charge in “Chill mode,” significantly outperforming the Oura Ring’s 5-8 days. The accompanying Pro charging case extends this to an additional 45 days and supports wireless charging.

Data storage capabilities are equally robust, with the ring capable of storing up to 250 days of health data, and the charging case extending this to a full year. Under the hood, the Ring Pro boasts an upgraded dual-core processor for faster data processing and improved accuracy, powered by on-chip machine learning. The heart-rate sensing architecture has been meticulously redesigned to deliver superior signal quality, particularly during sleep and recovery phases, crucial for accurate health monitoring.

“The Ultrahuman Ring Pro’s extended battery life and advanced data processing capabilities are set to redefine user expectations for smart ring performance and convenience.”

Aesthetically and functionally, the Ring Pro features a durable titanium unibody architecture and is available in sizes 5-14 and finishes such as Bionic Gold, Space Silver, Aster Black, and Raw Titanium. A notable safety innovation is “ProRelease Technology,” designed for easier removal in instances of finger swelling or injury, enhancing user comfort and safety. Complementing the hardware, Ultrahuman has also launched “Jade,” a real-time biointelligence system. Jade leverages AI to deliver actionable health insights by analyzing current and historical data from the ring and other Ultrahuman ecosystem products, including Blood Vision biomarkers, M1 CGM glucose trends, and Ultrahuman Home environmental data, offering a holistic view of user health.

While the Ultrahuman Ring Pro is launching globally, its availability in the United States is currently on hold due to the ongoing patent dispute with Oura. Ultrahuman is actively working to resolve the necessary legal and regulatory steps to bring this innovative device to its substantial U.S. customer base.

The launch of the Ultrahuman Ring Pro, coupled with strategic domestic manufacturing, signals Ultrahuman’s unwavering commitment to expanding its U.S. market share. Despite current import restrictions, the company’s investment in advanced technology and localized production positions it as a formidable contender in the rapidly evolving smart ring industry, promising enhanced competition and innovation for consumers.
